I do not have 2FA enabled and I do not want to enable it. Is there anything I could do about this proactively? NHale suggested this may be a social engineering attack. My email does have 2FA enabled, as much as I hate it.

I also don't want Sony to have my phone number. It's not just me being stubborn I have to clear my cookies regularly for other reasons, and I don't always have my phone on me. I work SUPER hard to keep by inbox clean.Įdit: I realize everyone thinks I should enable two step. I am equally confident in the integrity of my gmail password.ĭoes anyone know what's going on? At this point, I'm mainly just tired of getting emails. I have not saved CC data in PSN since their major hack years ago, and I am confident that my PSN password is strong and uncompromised. What the heck could this person be hoping to accomplish? Obviously, without access to my email, he can't obtain a password reset link, so why bother attempting to reset it in the first place? As I have never attempted to reset my password, it stands to reason that someone else must be doing so. Not 100% sure this is thread worthy, but since there isn't any such thing as a PSN |OT|, I figured it was as good a pace to ask as any:įor the past week, I have been getting emails with password reset links several times a day from PSN.
